International Students
As an international student at AMC you will learn in a culturally diverse environment in the friendly atmosphere of a small campus. We have many students and lecturers from all continents and the Pacific.
You will graduate with an internationally recognised qualification and employment opportunities around the world will allow you to work in many different countries. The cost of living in Tasmania is low compared to other cities in Australia and the exchange rate is favourable compared to some other countries. International students are required to pay the full tuition fee for their course of study. Course fees for international students are finalised in October for the following year’s courses. After course fees are finalised these can be accessed on our website, or can be provided upon request by the International Admissions Officer. For first year international students, 50% of course fees must be paid on acceptance of their offer. The remaining course fees must be paid upon arrival at AMC.
Additional study related costs
Most of the units offered in AMC’s courses, provide substantial course materials at no charge. However, in addition to the course materials provided, there is a recommended textbook for most units. A copy of all recommended texts is held in the AMC library, alternatively they can be purchased from the bookshop on campus. Please be aware that the price of textbooks can be in excess of AUD $100.
Financial assistance
AMC offers a range of scholarships and bursaries to assist students in meeting their financial commitments while at AMC. Some scholarships are awarded primarily on academic merit, while others are offered to assist full-time students who are Indigenous, from rural or regional areas, or on a low income.
