designing and managing huge installations for the offshore oil and gas
industry. There are careers specialising in coastal engineering, underwater vehicles, and port and
harbour design. For those interested in boats, the Australian high
speed ferry industry also offers rewarding careers. Naval Architects

and power yachts and marine surveying.
