Maritime Transport Policy Centre Staff

John is newly appointed to the MTPC and commences towards the end of August. He brings a wealth of experience to the role including nearly ten years with Thompson Clarke Shipping and a background in maritime law. We greatly look forward to having him on board.

Barrie Lewarn
Project Director, Maritime Transport Poilcy Centre

Professor Lewarn, whose role it has been to establish the centre, continues to assist in its development. His research interests focus on ports and include port policy, institutional management frameworks adopted by ports, port development including waterfront redevelopment strategies and the port-city interface.

Melanie provides executive and editing support to the policy centre.
