Hi, all,
Hopefully you have all finished looking at Module 1, which was an introduction to Maritime Law.
I wanted to mention specifically today about the Unit Schedule (page 12) in your USB. It would be great if you could copy that page and keep it fairly prominently somewhere in your study area. I have noted in the schedule that you should address 2 modules next week (Modules 2 and 3). This is as they are smaller units and also that we need to gear up for the first assignment, due 7 April. The date 7 April sounds a way away, but we have a very early Easter coming up in between!
I will post on this forum this coming weekend a guide to assignment 1. The content of the assignment draws from Module 4 (International Law of the Sea) and the first part of Module 5 (Carriage of goods by sea). I will include a lot more detail in that guide, but I would like you to think about drafting the assignment in the week that you are studying the relevant module. What I mean is, as a suggestion:
Question 1, Assignment 1 deals with Module 4. So, in the week commencing 17 March, as you study that module, work on that part of the assignment at the same time.
Question 2, Assignment 1 deals with the first part of Module 5. So, in the week commencing 24 March, as you study that module, work on that part of the assignment at the same time.
Then, on the week commencing 31 March, complete assignment 1.
Please check this forum on Monday 10 March for my guide to the assignment (the assignment is designed to be straightforward!).
All best,
Peter.
