Students experience a career in marine science

A focus on careers in marine sciences brought a group of Yolla District High School students to AMC’s National Centre for Marine Conservation and Resource Sustainability on Thursday (August 14).

The group of 18 students from years nine and ten spent their time gaining an insight into the possibilities of studying at AMC through talks and demonstrations with NCMCRS academics Dr Troy Gaston, Dr Louise Ward and David Maynard.

Mr Maynard stressed the importance of the hands-on learning students get at AMC.

The visit was part of an industry day organized for Yolla students.
