materials for Module 2

Hi all, Pls find attached tutorial paper for Module 2. Since the lecture notes have a big file size which cannot be uploaded onto the forum, I am sending it through to your email address. All of you should try using Excel Solver to solve the problem of optimisation referred to and illustrated in the lecture. Upon completion you can send the file to me for verification. I will upload a detailed step-by-step guide next week after you have given it a go. For though of you who are using Excel 2003 and earlier versions of Excel, go to "tools", then "Solver" to call the function. If "solver" is not already there, you should go to "tools", "Add-ins", then check on the box of "Solver add-in" to install the function internally. Cheers, Vinh Thai
