Searching on line for reference articles and information

Dear all Some students have asked me about how to find articles, references for the assignments in this unit. My advice is that you try to search on AMC library's on-line databases, state libraries, and Google. Make sure you use effective key words, such as "low cost carriers", "low cost airlines", "low-cost air transport", etc. or search directly into the websites of low cost carriers and business-related journal websites such as Tiger Airways, Jetstar, Economist, Business Reviews Weekly, Business Week, etc. For example, you could find the following article about low cost airlines:

http://www.businessweek.com/magazine/content/04_25/b3888070.htm.

As internet becomes increasingly more important as a rich source of information, it is essential that you learn how to have most out of it. It is however equally important that you are aware of plagiarism and the department's strict policy on this issue. So make sure that you cite materials and information in your assignment properly using standard reference format (see the sample assignment Steve' Automotive for detail).

Cheers
