A student may appeal against any assessment made by a Course Committee where the student believes that extenuating circumstances have affected performance or where the student has been disadvantaged by the conduct of the assessment. The appeal shall be made in writing to the Registrar and shall be made not later than ten days from the issue of results.
Where an appeal lodged more than ten days after the notification of assessment would, in the ordinary course of post, have been received by the student, the onus shall be upon the student to show why the appeal should be considered.
Where, on the basis of the Registrar's investigations, no possible grounds for appeal exist on the basis of extenuating circumstances or conduct of the examination, the appellant will be advised of the outcome of the appeal by the Registrar.
