Replacement of Marine Radio Operators Certificates
The Office of Maritime Communications is able to process replacement certificates for the following marine radio qualifications:
- RROCP - Restricted Radio Operators Certificate of Proficiency
- MROVCP - Certification of Proficiency for VHF Radio Operations
- MROCP - Certification of Proficiency for VHF & MF/HF Radio Operations, and
- MSCCE (SATCOM) - Endorsement for Proficiency in Marine Satellite Communications
Where a replacement is required for a ROCP - Radio Operators Certificate of Proficiency then contact the Australian Communications and Media Authority (refer: http://www.acma.gov.au for further information).
Requirements
The following forms must be completed, a replacement application (PDF) and statutory declaration (PDF). Both of these forms are available by clicking on the links or can be requested by telephone: 1300 365 262, posted, emailed or faxed on request.
Where the original certificate has been lost, a witnessed statutory declaration must be included stating the circumstances. Also included should be a statement to the effect that 'should the original certificate subsequently be found it will be immediately returned to the Office of Maritime Communications'.
Where the original certificate has been destroyed or mutilated, the witnessed statutory declaration must include a statement to that effect. In the case of mutilation, the original must be included with the application.
In all cases information must be provided regarding the place and approximate date of the original examination.
Payment of a fee is required to process this application and may be paid by Visa, MasterCard or by cheque or money order.
A current, colour passport-size photo of the certificate holder must be included, with identification clearly printed on the reverse and witnessed by a Justice of the Peace.
