Merchant Navy War Memorial Fund

Merchant Navy War Memorial Fund Ltd are pleased provide a one off contribution to be allocated to the Vocational Education and Training (VET) students as an accommodation scholarship. The Scholarship will cover the cost of accommodation and 10 meals per week at the AMC's accommodation facilities for the duration of the course. The scholarships will commemorate the services of the members of the Australian Mercantile Marine during World War 1 and II. Students wishing to apply for these scholarships must provide details outlining the need for financial assistance to undertake professional development though VET studies at AMC.

• Maximum of Four Scholarships covering partial accommodation costs

Eligibility

• an Australian citizen or holder of a permanent humanitarian visa;
• a full-time student, undertaking a maritime-related VET course at AMC.

Selection Criteria

• the Scholarship is merit-based and awarded as part of a competitive application process.

The application should include:

• a written personal profile of not more than 500 words, outlining how this scholaship will assist financially
• a written personal profile of not more than 500 words, including information on personal interests, achievements and any other scholarships or sponsorships held;
• any supportive evidence that the candidate considers to be relevant to this application, including references (photocopies are acceptable as documents will not be returned).

• Duration of course, as applicable.
