Are examination papers available for exam revision? Copies of past examination question papers are available in the AMC library.
What is an Invigilator? An Invigilator is an examination supervisor. Invigilators are responsible for ensuring that examinations are conducted in accordance with AMC Course and Award Rules.
How much reading time will I have at the start of my exam? AMC allocates ten minutes reading time. This is reflected on the published examinations timetable, along with an additional five minutes in which to have a seat allocated and to get comfortable.
Will I be allowed into the exam if I am running late? Students will not be admitted to the examination venue after the examination has been in progress for thirty (30) minutes.
What if I have an accident on the way to the examination? Students who are unable to attend an examination due to extenuating circumstances should complete the Application to Defer Examination form and attach evidence (eg police accident report) to support their application. This should be submitted to the Academic Coordinator who will liaise with appropriate Faculty staff.
What if I fall ill? Please refer to the special consideration section.
What if I forget my Student ID Card? Students who forget their Student ID Card must go to Student Services (or Faculty Administration at Beauty Point) and show a current drivers license, passport, or other form of current photo identification, in order to receive a photocopy of their Student ID certified by a Student Services staff member.
Can I take food or drink into the exam? Food and drink are not permitted into the examination venue.
Where can I put my belongings during the exam? AMC does not guarantee safe-keeping of students' possessions inside or outside of the examination room. Students should make alternative arrangements for the storage of valuables or alternatively not bring them along at all.
What do I do if I have a question during the exam? A student may ask the Invigilator or attending Lecturer for clarification of any aspect of the examination paper or the conduct of the examination during reading time only.
Can I take a dictionary into the exam? - English dictionaries are available within the examination venue. Please see the special consideration section regarding the use of bilingual dictionaries.
When will I get my results? The AMC Official Dates webpage lists results release dates for the academic year. Please note that students with outstanding fees will not receive results until the amount is paid in full. Students can view their subject results online via Online Services under Current Students, and the Student Record (SAILS) link.
I can't access my results via online SAILS. What do I do? Please contact AMC using the contact details provided on the SAILS webpage.
I do not agree with my result. What can I do? Please refer to the Result Disputes section.
Who can I contact to discuss examinations and results? Please contact the Academic Coordinator for examinations and results related enquiries.
