Bachelor of Business (Maritime and Logistics Management) (Honours) (J4N)
The Bachelor of Business with Honours program provides outstanding undergraduate students with an extra year of advanced study and research that enhances their knowledge and analytical skills in the field of maritime and logistics management.

Traditionally, Honours graduates are highly valued by employers because of their high level of academic achievement, well-developed research skills, and proven ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
Entry requirements
Bachelor of Business or equivalent degree with a minimum average of a Credit level in third year units. Acceptance into the Honours year will be subject to the availability of a suitable supervisor for the Honours dissertation.
Duration
One year full-time or two years part-time.
Course structure
Candidates are required to complete the equivalent of four compulsory units and one elective unit. The program of study is determined in consultation with the Course Coordinator. A unit from another area may be substituted for the elective unit with the approval of the Course Coordinator.

In determining the overall Honours grade, the dissertation will account for 50% of the grade. The coursework component comprises the remaining 50%.
Qualification
Bachelor of Business (Maritime and Logistics Management) (Honours). The award of honours is graded First Class, Second Class. Division 1, Second Class, Division 2, or Third Class.
Further training
The Honours year prepares candidates for further academic research in a Master degree or Doctor of Philosophy, and, with managerial experience, it is a sound basis for a Master of Business Administration. Successful completion of the Honours year can result in credit for up to two units in the Master of Business Administration (Maritime and Logistics Management).
